Installing the transmission to the engine

In this transmission episode of our 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz restoration series, Bob and Josh will show you how to hook up the Turbo 400 transmission to the Cadillac 390 engine. Using an adapter plate kit sold from Caddy Daddy, they will use the parts necessary to install the flywheel, which mates to the back of the crankshaft.

Some minor modifications may need to be made to fit the oil filter housing if using a 1960 block. Josh explains what he did in order to make this work. If you are using a 1959 block or older, it should not be a problem.

Please make sure your measurements are correct and take your time when working on this size of a project.

Enjoy!
