In part two of our 1959 Cadillac bucket seat restoration, Josh will take apart the seats layer by layer, showing you what’s on the inside of these luxury styled seats. We want to see what we’re dealing with before we actually start the process of bringing them back to life with new leather. Watch as Josh opens them up to check out the spring assembly, while cutting the stitching and peeling back the padded layers.

If you’re thinking of restoring your seats and making replacement parts, we highly recommend documenting the whole process. Remember to take your time as you go along, and carefully cut apart the stitching, so you can use the pattern to work with when putting everything back together.
